With this example, it is all about the aesthetics- a first execution model that features a classically 60s sports chronograph styling. The Chronomaster came about during a time where adventures and exploration was a hot topic and many watch manufacturers took advantage of this, releasing multiple sports watches. Quite the mouthful, but talk about tapping into as many demographics as you can! Five modern Chronomasters are now available in the Shop. This is perhaps one of the most epic watch model names to have come out of the 20th century- the Croton Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver. That's where the "Aviator Sea Diver" comes into play on the dial and can come to play on your wrist if you head over to the Shop. Guillaume Laidet, a watch industry veteran, announced plans to revive the Nivada Grenchen brand last summer. Altogether, I'm a big fan of these Chronomasters I like how they were marketed as basically a do-it-all watch, perfect for diving, flying, racing, etc. It really looks like it lived a life – the once black bezel has gained to a greenish hue, depending on the light. However, the feature that sticks out to me the most is the bezel. I really love how the lume has aged on the dial and on the broad-arrow-style hands. The watch we have today is in overall beautiful, honest condition and has developed a great patina on the dial and bezel. These early ones say "Chronograph Aviator Sea Diver'' on the dial, yet the same model would later read "Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver," so it's pretty cool to play with the OG. I'm particularly excited about the example we are offering today, because it's from the first run of the Chronomaster that came out in the early 1960s, which featured the Venus 210 movement.
